Veuve Clicquot celebrated the colour Yellow in style via “Starlight Yellow” - a
super-chic cocktail party at the newly re-opened World Trade Center in Downtown Manhattan. Fifty-two floors were re-constructed at the historic address, less than six years after the September 11th event took place.
Participating artists and guests were encouraged to "Dream in Yellow" and the result was a bright affair as:
- French artist Florence Deygas delicately played with a 360 degree city skyline via intricate illustrations and calligraphy-styled drawings upon window panes.
- Belgian artist Ann Veronica Janssens unveiled a yellow fog installation named "Lee 204 + Lee 179".
- French pianist Maxence Cyrin performed a live rendition of his "Yellow Composition" in accordance with a special lights show.
- American author Jay McInerney debuted his "Yellow Novella" to guests via a special collaborative / interactive presentation.
- Christopher Caines choreographed a special dance performance for his Canadian company dancers.
- French chef Jean-Georges took the art of hors d’oeuvres one step further by
concoting an assortment of gourmet delights.
- Cellar master Jacques Péters proved host with the most by moderating a champagne tasting session.
Concluding the fetivities was the unveiling of Yellowboam, a limited-edition jeroboam crafted in Yellow Alligator, Stingray and Ostrich leather.
